INGREDIENTS:

1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or 1/3 tsp dried ginger)
1 tsp grated turmeric (or 1/3 tsp dried turmeric)
1 cup water
1 tsp coconut oil or 1/4 tsp black pepper (to aid turmeric absorption – optional)
Honey or a slice of lemon (or calamansi) to taste (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a small saucepan, bring a cup of water to boil. Turn off the heat and add the ginger and turmeric
2. Steep with the lid on for 5minutes (Covering with a lid prevents the oils and medicinal compounds escaping through the steam)
3. Strain the tea remedy and add some honey or slices of lemon (or calamansi) when the tea has cooled down (Excessive heat will destroy the benefits of honey)
4. Add the black pepper or coconut oil and stir well. Enjoy!

HUMMUS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

2 cans of Ram Garbanzo chickpeas
1/2 lemon, squeezed
1 clove of garlic, minced
2-3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup water
Salt
Pepper
Paprika

INSTRUCTIONS

Open the cans of chickpeas and drain thoroughly with running water. If you like your hummus extra smooth, you can de-skin the chickpeas. Set aside.
In a blender or food processor, pour in half of the chickpeas and blend for 1 minute. Scrape the sides and bottom and then add remaining chickpeas until it becomes thick and smooth. Slowly add water gradually until it reaches the desired consistency.
Add the garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Blend for over 3 minutes and then check mixture, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl, adding a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of paprika.
Serve with carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, crackers, or pita chips.

CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP RECIPE

Ingredients

1/2 kg chicken back, skin removed and rinsed
5 cups water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc small onion, chopped
½ cup carrot, chopped
¼ cup celery, chopped
2 sachets Maggi Magic Sarap
1 cup elbow macaroni
1 tbsp sliced spring onion

Instructions:

1. Simmer chicken in the water for 30 minutes. Reserve broth and shred chicken.
2. Sauté garlic, onion, carrot, and celery in oil. Pour chicken broth and simmer
3. Stir in noodles and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®. Add shredded chicken and spring onion.
4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve immediately.

GINATAANG GULAY – QUICK AND EASY TO COOK!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 pc onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 pc kalabasa (squash), peeled and cubed
1/2 bunch sitaw, sliced
1 (29g) pack Knorr Ginataang Gulay Mix, dissolved in 1 cup water
1 pc small green siling haba, sliced
1/4 cup shrimp, peeled or 1 tbsp bagoong (optional)

Instructions

1. Begin by getting your pan nice and hot over medium heat. Pour some oil and throw in the onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is soft and the garlic is golden brown.
2. Gently add the kalabasa and sitaw and pour in the dissolved Knorr Complete Recipe Mix and siling haba. Stir well and cover until the vegetables are half cooked.
3. Throw in the shrimps and then continue to simmer until kalabasa and shrimps are fully cooked. And there you have it!
4. Ginataang Gulay is the perfect complement to any of your favourite dishes. You can simply have it as is. Like home, it’s a comfort dish!

KID-FRIENDLY CHICKEN POTATO CROQUETTES

Ingredients:

2 1/4 kgs potato
5 pcs egg, separated
2 Tbsp oil
1/2 cup garlic, minced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
500 g chicken, ground
450 g tokwa, mashed
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper, black
2 pouch DEL MONTE Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce (250g)
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tsp kinchay, chopped
2 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
oil, for deep frying

Instructions

1. Boil potatoes until tender. Peel and mash. Mix with egg yolks. Set aside in a covered container.
2. Sauté garlic, onion, chicken, and tokwa. Add salt, pepper, DEL MONTE Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce, and soy sauce. Cook for 30 minutes or until dry. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes. Mix with kinchay.
3. Form each tablespoon of meat mixture into balls. Cover with 2 tablespoon mashed potato. Form into croquettes. Dip in egg white and roll in bread crumbs. Repeat the process.
4. Deep-fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Best served with DEL MONTE Original Blend Ketchup or Lady’s Choice Real Mayonnaise.

Tip
Do not overcrowd the pan when deep frying because the temperature of the oil will drop, resulting in a soggy and oily croquette.

Ingredients:

8 cups rice washing
3 pcs onions, quartered
6 pcs native tomatoes, quartered
1 kg Maya Maya, steak cut
2 pcs long green chili
2 packs Knorr Sinigang na may Miso Mix
1 bundle mustard leaves, trimmed

Instructions

1.Start by using the water from when you washed your rice and pour this into the pot together with the onions and tomatoes. Bring this slowly to a boil then lower the heat to simmer for 8 minutes.
2.Since fish cooks easily, drop the fish carefully and bring this mixture into a gentle boil. Make sure you remove the scales of the fish because the scales may contribute to the “malansa” taste of the Maya Maya. Next, throw in the chili and pour the Knorr Sinigang na may Miso Mix and the mustard leaves. Stir and simmer. It should be done in a minute. You may season according to your preference.
3.With enough rice, patis, calamansi or chili, Sinigang sa Miso is going to make you the hero of your home.

2 cups cubed avocado / mango
1 cup Alaska Sweetened Condensed Filled Milk
½ cup Alpine Reconstituted Evaporated Full Cream
1 Nestle All Purpose Cream, Chilled
1/8 tsp table Salt

Instruction

1. Whip the chilled Nestle All Purpose Cream to stiff peaks and set aside in the refrigerator.
2. Combine cubed mango or avocado, Alaska Sweet Condensed Milk, Alpine Reconstituted Evaporated Full Cream, and salt in a blender.
3. Blend in medium speed until fully combined. In a large bowl, FOLD in blended mixture.
4. Fold in the chilled whipped cream mixture from earlier. Transfer into a freezer-safe container.
5. Freeze for at least 8 hours or up to 5 days.

150 g potato chunks
2 tbsp oil
400 g chicken (cut up)
½ carrot chunks
1/3 cup green peas
100g Baguio beans (sliced)
1 pouch (80g) Del Monte Quick n Easy Afritada Sauce

Instructions

1. Fry the potatoes in oil, then set aside.
2. Using the same pan, stir-fry the chicken until light brown.
3. Add in ¾ cup water, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Make sure the chicken is good and tender.
4. Mix in the carrots and cook for 10 minutes.
5. Mix in green peas and Baguio beans.
6. Mix it up with Del Monte Quick n Easy Afritada Sauce!
7. Cook for another 5 minutes, stir the potatoes back in.
8. Don’t forget to serve that Feel-Good Afritada with a smile!

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Cooking Oil
1 pc (120 grams) Potato (cut into chunks)
4 tsp Liver Spread
2 liters Water
½ kg Beef Brisket (cut into chunks)
1 pc Siling Labuyo (sliced)
1 tbsp Cheese (grated)
1 pc (medium) Red Bell Pepper (cut into strips)
½ cup Green Peas (cooked)
1 pouch (80 grams) Del Monte Quick ‘n Easy Caldereta Sauce

Instructions

1. Fry potatoes in 2 tablespoons oil. Set aside.
2. In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon oil then stir-fry liver spread and beef until both sides of meat are brown. Add 2 cups water. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until tender. Retain only 1 cup broth (or add water to make 1 cup broth).
3. Add DEL MONTE Quick n Easy Caldereta Sauce, siling labuyo and cheese. Simmer for 5 minutes then add bell pepper and green peas. Simmer for another 3 minutes. Stir in fried potatoes.

Ingredients:

350 g beef round, cut into chunks
100 g potato, cut into chunks
5 pc sibuyas Tagalog, whole, peeledV
1 pouch (80g) DEL MONTE Quick n Easy Mechado Sauce

Instructions

1. Cover and simmer beef in 1-1/2 cups water for 45 minutes or until tender. Add more water if needed.
2. Drain the broth, but reserve 3/4 cup of it. Put back the beef in the pan and pour in reserved broth.
3. Add in the potatoes and sibuyas Tagalog. Cover and simmer until potatoes are half tender.
4. Add DEL MONTE Quick ’n Easy Mechado Sauce, season with 1/4 tsp fine salt and 1 tsp sugar.
5. Cover and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes. Serve.
