HUMMUS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

2 cans of Ram Garbanzo chickpeas
1/2 lemon, squeezed
1 clove of garlic, minced
2-3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup water
Salt
Pepper
Paprika

INSTRUCTIONS

Open the cans of chickpeas and drain thoroughly with running water. If you like your hummus extra smooth, you can de-skin the chickpeas. Set aside.
In a blender or food processor, pour in half of the chickpeas and blend for 1 minute. Scrape the sides and bottom and then add remaining chickpeas until it becomes thick and smooth. Slowly add water gradually until it reaches the desired consistency.
Add the garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Blend for over 3 minutes and then check mixture, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl, adding a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of paprika.
Serve with carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, crackers, or pita chips.
